By: Ms. Jacqueline
Her problem has never been one of weight reduction.
I coached Jacqueline to resolve a list of issues. But one of them stands out clear, of which I will make it a learning moment in this post.
In one particular case where I was supporting Jacqueline in strengthening her immune function, I demanded she visit her physician to get some tests and metabolic markers we could follow-up on.
Upon this, her Physician dismissed her pressing case of inflammation and low white blood count, claiming that it was expected for her as an African to have such low value and Neutropenia.
To put this into perspective, the doctor was implying that she was fussing over nothing, and her low neutrophil count was expected of someone of her origin.
He clearly mentioned that nothing could be done about it. This physician basically meant that it is okay for Africans to suffer from Neutropenia.
((Im stressing this point out because its the case across Europe, do if you are in Diaspora, check up on your numbers, and start getting them up )).
Of course, our AIM champion knew better and decided to hold the Physician accountable by taking the matter further.
Meanwhile, I focused on coaching her about what nutrients and foods to take to bring her neutrophils up. Also importantly, lifestyle practices and what foods to stay away from.
This is Covid times, so you can imagine how important being immune-strong can be
She made it, she abided by the work and in a few weeks, she was no longer diagnosed as having neutropenia. What best proof is there to banish such a medical stigma of Africans being expected and accepted to have neutropenia?
Jacqueline is boosting in health and fitness and has grown so much in the knowledge and practice of metabolic nutrition and AIM.
Trust me, very few people want to do any work on themselves, especially when they don't have excess belly/weight problems.
I`m truly proud of her transformation, one that demands full dedication and belief. She is a great spokesperson about my work and AIM around her community in Britain.
